With a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences and a Master’s in Quality and Environment from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, I have cultivated a career bridging academia and the private sector, leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve ambitious sustainability goals. My journey began over 15 years ago at an Abengoa subsidiary, developing and implementing a pioneering GHG emissions inventory. After teaching carbon footprint calculation at Universidad Miguel Hernández, I founded Iberogen Environmental Studies, offering innovative solutions in agricultural genetics and environmental consulting. Recently, I returned to environmental issues, coordinating international projects under Euroclima, focusing on greenhouse gas monitoring and forest management in Latin America.

Pedro Parraguez is the co-founder of Dataverz and Pattrnz, innovative startups focused on exploring the complexity of human networks and large-scale collaborations. Carolina, a Biochemist from Universidad Católica, has always been a nature lover and joined the university's mountaineering club. She completed her Ph.D. in Immunology in Germany, studying inflammation and became acquainted with Anthroposophic Medicine. After postdoctoral fellowships in Germany and Chile, she began her academic career researching Chilean native plants and their potential to regulate the immune system. Carolina also develops cosmetics and liquors from these plants. Additionally, she is the President of the Scientific Ethics Committee at the Faculty of Medicine.
